Starpower is an innovative platform that focuses on enhancing the capabilities of virtual power plants through the integration of blockchain technologies. By using simple middleware provided by DePHY, Starpower can achieve seamless data transmission between blockchain and DePIN devices, enhancing the efficiency of economic model execution through reliable and secure data relay.

Furthermore, Starpower has greatly benefited from the open-source hardware designs provided by DePHY, which have simplified their hardware design and manufacturing process. This collaboration allows for rapid prototyping and mass production, enabling them to distribute their hardware solutions globally.

Starpower ensures the verifiability and security of all messages within the network through a comprehensive DePHY DID system. Devices in the network are equipped with TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) modules, ensuring that data is processed and signed in a secure environment, thus protecting the data from tampering and external threats.

Simplify the data transmission process from Starplug to smart contracts
Starpower needs to enable Starplug to transmit messages to smart contracts to execute economic models. Starplug record the electricity usage, and behavior of the users and reward sustainable practices for a brighter, greener future. DePHY has developed a set of simple data transmission middleware that bridges blockchain and Starplugs, making the transmission of energy data to the web3 infrastructure seamless, efficient, and affordable. Starpower achieves the relay transmission and processing of data by connecting to the Edge nodes of the DePHY Message layer using simple HTTP/MQTT protocols, providing crucial data to smart contracts to ultimately help execute the economic model.

Completing Challenging and Complex Hardware Design and Production
Another issue faced by Starpower is the difficulty and complexity of hardware design and production. In this regard, DePHY hasopen-sourced various customizable hardware design solutionsto the community. By utilizing these open-source solutions, Starpower completed Starplug hardware design in a short time, quickly enter the trial production and mass production stages, and distribute products globally. Additionally, DePHY shares its hardware production resources with all ecosystem projects, providing great convenience and cost efficiency for projects like Starpower during the manufacturing process.
Ensuring Verifiability of All Energy Information
To ensure the safety and reliability of Starplugs data and Starpowers’ tokenomics operations, all the data passing through must remain verifiable. DePHY ensures the security and immutability of each message through its comprehensive DID system and open-source hardware solutions with built-in TEE modules. The private keys used to control each device's DID are securely stored in the TEE, preventing external access or modification. Furthermore, DePHY's Message Layer performs strict verification when processing all upstream data, ensuring that the data across the entire network is genuine and trustworthy. This provides solid data security assurance for Starpower.
With the help of DePHY, Starpower has achieved several important milestones:
Prototype Verification: Starpower completed prototype verification within 30 days and helped reduce Starplug costs by 5x.
Prototype Trial Production: By the fourth quarter of 2023, Starpower successfully completed the trial production of prototypes.
Device Distribution Ready: In the first quarter of 2024, Starpower completed the production of 2000+ units and began preparing for device distribution.
Economic Model Implementation: Starpower completed the implementation of its data network and economic model based on DePHY and will soon launch its user-side application. Currently, there are over 8.6 million daily messages running from Starplugs through DePHY.
